On June 2, 1983, construction was started and completed on January 9, 1984.
The base area is 297m² and the building area 226.83m².
The station was originally operated by Ligang Township, but due to organizational streamlining, Jiuru and Ligang stations were merged into it and the station location was changed to the intersection of Ligang and Jiuru.
